For the first time , I can see he started to understand and appreciate what's happening around him.

Oh before I forgot, this year our tema for our baju raya is hijau pucuk pisang .Very STRIKING and CLASSY!! Here are some pics that I manage to take during first day of Hari Raya at my grand ma house in Bukit Ampangan, Seremban. My darling faheem was not in a good mood that day because his gusi just started to grow.

My Life During Ramadan

Alhamdulillah thanks to the mighty Allah. The holy month of Ramadan is here again. For this year, I managed to get the earlier shift meaning going back at 4.30 pm. Wow , that is quite a big relief for me. It really makes a lot of difference since now I need to pick up Faheem from the babysitter house and buying my buka puasa dishes at the Pasar Ramadan nearby.

Even kononnya balik awal at 4.30 pm pun , I still can forget my plan to cook. What to do !! Now my darling faheem has become very naughty nowadays. I just could not enter the kitchen then he will start to disturb me. He is growing up very fast and sometimes he does really test my patience. Both me and mr farrish need to give him 100% attention if not our whole apartment block can hear his merdu voice crying.I find it quite challenging to balance between my role as a mother and working adult. But despite anything,I am thankful that Faheem has becoming cleverer every each day.I noticed that he is now very excited to talk.Of course, at times you could not understand some of the word he said but I just feel so happy when he called " MAMA" MAMA".Then he will run and hug me.Motherhood is indeed a wonderful experience that could not be described with words.

For our berbuka this year, we will buy the simple dishes like Nasi Ayam, Nasi briyani and etc.The price also my god very the expensive.Terrible this peniaga nak kaut untung. This year also me and mr farrish agreed that we will not entertain any invitation for berbuka puasa outside. The previous year before this , boleh katakan in a week we would go to three hotels for berbuka puasa.

In fact, I still remember masa mengandungkan faheem pun, ada rasanya more than 10 hotels I went for berbuka puasa.Macamana my darling baby tuh tak kuar semangat hehe.He was born on the 21st Ramadan a day after I break fast at the Restoran Seri Melayu. The good all days are gone now since we need to give attention to our adorable friend mr faheem.Pity that little small boy.Life would be boring though when he is not around to mess up everything. I do hope he will not end up like the boy from the movie " Dennis the Menace" hehe.Amin.

Only last weekend something wonderful happened.Out of the blue moon, mr farrish said jomlah I belanja u makan outside. You just pick any hotel you want.Waa cool.Normally we wound choose nikko hotel because the food is really delicious. However this time since we are bringing my mum in law n mr faheem, we just settle with lanson place which is only 10 minutes from our house.Surprisingly, the variety of food was not that bad.We really had a great time especially MR Faheem enjoying all flavours of ice cream available there.Syukur alhamdulillah dengan rezeki yg dikurniakan.

Identifying Stroke

For the past few months, I have been hearing a lot of shocking news relating to stroke .Quite a number people that I've known and also famous celebrities like Yasmin Ahmad ,Hani Mohsein and Rabbani Ustaz Asri died due to heart attack.

Today, one of my officemate was very lucky.I guess memang Allah Taala bagi petunjuk kat dia.He seems very ill and showed all the negative symptom that may lead to stroke. But we manage to send him to Ampang Puteri just in time. There and then, the doctor did the operation on him.The procedure was called angioplasti, putting a small metal to widen his blood vessel.

Itupun, they mentioned during the operation, his heart stopped twice. However, the doctor managed to give him electric wave to gain his pulse back. Syukur alhamdulillah, he is now discharged from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Below are some info to share.

Stroke info

INFORMATION EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW.
Blood Clots/Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue

STROKE:Remember the 1st Three Letters....S.T.R.

If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks.
Seriously...

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

It only takes a minute to read this...

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE:

Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE, coherently. (i.e. It is sunny out today.)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke- Stick out Your Tongue

Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue... If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke.

A cardiologist says if everyone take an initiative to learn about this ,you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

Poco Poco Dance

Eversince last month July, my office conducted Poco Poco dance classes every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 pm to 7.30 pm. We have a male instructor teaching us.He is very skillful and cool.I was very excited because it happened that I just wanted to register dancing classes at Linda Jasmine dance studio in Ampang. So, my wish really came true.

The Poco-Poco is a popular line dance which originally comes from the Minahasa people in Sulawesi. The steps are said to originate from farming activities such as picking cloves, planting rice, hoeing the fields and peeling coconut fibre.

The Poco-poco dance become very popular throughout Indonesia a few years ago and has been integrated into aerobic classes and at dance schools throughout Indonesia. It has become one of many dances that young and old want to learn. Many organisations hold Poco-poco dance competitions and it is also a popular dance for celebrations such as weddings, birthdays and Independence Day.

At first, I really have no idea what this Poco-Poco dancing all about. But after attending several session, it is really mind blowing and fun.The song is similar to dangdut melody just like the one below.

The steps are quite challenging. But from my personal experience, you have to practice often then it will come to you naturally. The golden rule according to my instructur, you have to enjoy what you are doing. I found it to be one of the most effective remedy to release your stress. Apart from that by trying to memorize all the steps involve help you to focus better.

Even now without having a maid, I still make sure that I need to attend these poco-poco class at least once a week. You really sweat like crazy! It is a very good exerices to keep you fit and become more energetic hehe..

Puasa is just around the corner so we will continue these dance classes after Ramadan. I heard from my own instructor experience, he said that he lost nearly 20 kg after joining this poco-poco classes even much better than attending those fitness center or gym..Hmm his story really inspire me a lot. Hopefully even after puasa , I will still continue doing this..no angan-angan like mat jenin

Farewell to My Ustaz Asri of RABBANI

Yesterday was a sad day for me when I heard about the sudden death of my idol, ustaz Asri Ibrahim, the lead vocal for my favourite Nasyid group, RABBANI.

I read from his facebook mentioned that he just collapsed while performing at RTM at 11.00 a.m yesterday morning. He died of a heart attack.

If I'm not mistaken , he just celebrated his 40th birthday on 3 August this month. He passed away exactly 10 days after his birthday.Like people said, Allah lebih sayangkan dia so we have to redha dengan pemergiannya.

I got to know Rabbani when I was still studying in Australia. Actually ,I went back to Malaysia during summer break that I heard their first Nasyid song. Wow, I instantly fell in love with all their songs. When I went back to Australia, I bought their whole album. I still remember when I use to feel down , I would listen to their song. You just feel so calm when you hear their voices especially Ustaz Asri voice.

My wish really came true when my second sister Hani got married in 2006. Guess what, my dad choose "Rabbani" group to sing during her wedding.I was so mesmerized by their performance.Ustaz Asri voice was beautiful. My favourite song were "Intifada" and "Pergi Tak Kembali".I was so excited to meet him personally that I asked Mr Farrish to take picture of him. He was so friendly and always smiling.

Mr Farrish was also a big fan of him too.I still remember when we went for a holiday in Malacca, he bumped to him at the R n R highway toilet.Faheem also had a chance to meet him.He was cool as ever.

This coming Hari Raya, we will not hear his voice anymore for Takbir Raya in RTM or Astro.Ustaz Asri has " Pergi Tak Kembali" just like his song. My wish that semoga rohnya dicucuri rahmat dan ditempatkan di kalangan orang beriman. Al Fatihah.

Beginning of a new chapter

I believe if you want to do something, you must have to start from somewhere.
So, here I am starting my new blog of my own.

This month we are going to celebrate our fasting month. A new challenge for me to start my life without a maid. I could not believe it at first. Since I was a baby till I got married, the word" maid" will always be there 24 by 7. If I'm not mistaken all my life ,I have been surrounded by 20 maids + 2 of my own haha..Quite a big number..Luckily, my mum never spoilt me .she still insist me doing the basic house work..

Until that awful day in mid June this year that me and mr farrish decided no more maid. The main reason is that we had invested so much but yet the headache that we got is much worst than we could imagine.I really could not understand this maid ..admit miskinlah, nak cari duit, tolong family but when they came here all that became history.

My first one ,ROB was okay during her first year but then after her husband had an affair and left her , she start to flirt around.Because of her terrible mouth too,me and mr farrish had to put up with a lot of un necessary fight .She has been talking bad thing behind our back and the worst was gaduh with all the other maids belonging to my aunty, sister and cousins.

The second one NUR, we got a young girl but this one is very lazy . Can you imagine that my faheem totally dislike her. Finally we got the answer, after one month she ran away . We went to her uncle house that day to fetch her but they told us that she had found another job in a restaurant. There I was standing there, holding back my anger.Luckily, my mother in law was there to calm me down. That week , we were left clueless who is going to take care of our little faheem. Me and Mr farrish had to take turn taking EL to babysit our son.

We did try to ask around but most of the agent said that most of them will only be available after Hari Raya.Yang tinggal pun the rejected ones.My heart really sank. My tears were falling whenever I look into my son face.

Alhamdulilah, Allah finally answered my prayer. It's really true that when Allah gave you dugaan, the best solution is to pray. Most people said masa sujudlah , doa paling mustajab. Makcik Umi, my "mum angkat" recommended to us a good babysitter. The first two weeks were quite challenging but as time goes, I notice Faheem starts to enjoy his new friend (Jiboi) and new family hehe..Now he has a nenek, mummy, abang long, abg ngah and kak adik to entertain him during the day. When I think back, its really true that when something happen to your life, there must be some blessing in disguise.

And here I am, starting my new life balancing my role as a working mother , part time house wife and part time blogger..
